The Start

Well hello there,

Firstly, welcome!
I've been considering starting up a blog for a while, and as I am about to embark on a very new chapter of my life in just under a months time, I thought now is as good a time as any!

I have been living in what I like to call a 'studio flat' for the past 8 months, having finally flown the nest after graduating, and can only explain my living arrangements, without being mean to the poor place, as.. cozy.
You see, at the end of my bed is my kitchen, and to the side of the kitchen is the living room/clothing storage space, which stretches back over to my bed.
It's cheap, and in a nice part of the city...What can I say?!

Aaaanyway, I am currently in a kiiinda long distance relationship with my university sweet heart (awww).
We live an hour and a half away from each other in separate cities. And as we are from the UK, I'd say that counts as long distance!

But recently I applied for a job in his home town, and I got it!
Soooo we decided to find ourselves a flat (bigger than my 'cosy' little bedsit) & move in together like a proper couple.

What has followed since, includes lots and LOTS of lists, my becoming obsessed with the home decor pins on Pintrest, and a mad sort out of all of our stuff (mostly my stuff.. all of which I most definitely need to keep, just in case...), to condense down & fit into our new place.

And of course we found somewhere to move into.
Ohhh yes we did.  And low and behold, it has a washing machine! And to me that is absolute heaven.

So since my life has been kick started into Moving City Overdrive, I have had rather a lot to do, and also to think about, and for the next 4 weeks, I shall be charting my moving progress with anyone who wishes to join me.

The highs, such as YAAAAAYYYY I'm moving in with my boyfriend! No more fortnightly visits.
No more teeny tiny flat, or having to drive home to my mums to do my washing.

And also the lows, such as teary last nights with friends and family, leaving my home town & one of the most awesome cities in the world, ohhhh and also having to throw away most of those uselessly cluttery, but kind of sentimental things that I have collected over the past 4 years.

It's going to be one hell of a journey, so stay tuned :)

Jade.
